A local building materials distributor is seeking a Box Truck/Class B Driver.
Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading heavy building materials, including windows and doors. Ability to reach, bend, stretch, lift, twist, climb, stoop, balance, and crouch as needed. Must be physically capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 100 pounds consistently, with or without the assistance of a dolly or cart.
All box trucks are equipped with lift gates. Manual labor is involved. Knowledge of building materials is preferred but not required. This position will be required to perform duties in all weather conditions. Driver needs to be capable of carrying products from the truck to the designated area on site. Will often require walking over unpaved and uneven surfaces. Drivers are teamed up with a helper as workload requires.
Experience with a Moffett is preferred.
Typical work week is Monday through Friday, typical day is 6 am-4 pm, approximately 9-10 hours a day. (Overtime paid after 40 hours. worked) Drivers will be home every evening.
Qualifications are: Professional and courteous, ability and desire to work directly with our customers and others in the general public. Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
Clean, verifiable driving record, previous box truck delivery driver experience, and must be dependable. We operate a late model fleet consisting of: Large and small flat beds, 26’ box trucks, and pickups.

WALTER AND JACKSON INC, a family-owned and operated building materials distributor, has an immediate opening for a Forklift Operator/Yard Worker.
The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, and an excellent attendance record.
You will be responsible for direct labor tasks that include, but may not be limited to, operating a forklift safely and effectively, pulling and assembling loads for shipping, loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the yard and warehouses. Manual lifting will be required.
Unload incoming materials and safely locate them in the designated areas. Verifies the materials match the order and records any damages or shortages. Off-loading is often by hand or with the assistance of hand trucks and carts.
Load materials safely and accurately into/onto the customer’s vehicle.
Verifies load ticket to ensure accuracy with purchased materials.
You will be expected to perform your role with a high focus on quality, safety, and productivity.
Must be able to work alone or in a group setting.
This position requires working outdoors in any and all outdoor weather conditions.
Flexibility and a willingness to work in other areas of the business as necessary.
Must be able to independently lift 80 pounds.
